We support clients by administering contracts fairly, consistently, and in accordance with their terms, helping projects progress efficiently while managing risk and maintaining commercial control.

Our approach is grounded in a strong understanding of construction contracts and delivery processes, ensuring decisions are well-reasoned, defensible, and aligned with contractual obligations.

We are able to act in the role of Independent Certifier (NZS3910:2023) or Engineer to the Contract (NZS3910:2013), administering contractual processes impartially and in accordance with the contract.

We bring a balanced, evidence-based approach to certification, assessment, and decision-making, ensuring that contractual determinations are made fairly, transparently, and consistently. Our focus is on maintaining confidence in the certification process and supporting the orderly administration of the contract.

When acting as Principal’s Representative, Cocoa provides clear, structured oversight of contract administration and project delivery on behalf of the client. We ensure contractual obligations are administered properly, communications are managed effectively, and decisions are made in a timely and informed manner.

Our role is to support the Principal’s objectives while maintaining contractual discipline, managing risk, and ensuring the contract is administered in a manner that is robust, defensible, and aligned with best practice.

Cocoa Ltd provides contract administration services across the construction lifecycle, including management of contractual notices, variations, progress claims, extensions of time, and related commercial processes.

We focus on ensuring contractual procedures are followed correctly, records are maintained, and decisions are supported by appropriate analysis and documentation. This disciplined approach assists in managing risk, avoiding disputes, and protecting the parties’ respective contractual positions whilst ensuring obligations are fulfilled.
